Locke (biceps) is scheduled to throw off a mound Saturday, the Miami Herald reports. "I think we're progressing pretty well," Locke said Wednesday.
Locke (biceps) continues to throw every other day, but has not yet gotten back on a mound and seems unlikely to be ready for Opening Day, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. "Honestly, I don't think we see him as guy being ready to open the season," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said Friday. "It may be close. It may be 10 days, it may be two weeks. I want him to be healthy and keep growing. We've got to make sure he's healthy first, built up properly without rushing."
Locke (biceps) played catch Wednesday, Matthew DeFranks of the Sun Sentinel reports.
Locke, who is dealing with bicep tendinitis, felt good after throwing both Saturday and Monday, Tim Healey of the Sun Sentinel reports.
Locke (shoulder) could begin his throwing program Saturday, but won't be rushed back.
Locke's (shoulder) MRI showed no structural damage, but he won't throw for a week, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Locke underwent an MRI on his left shoulder Thursday, though manager Don Mattingly said he's optimistic that the discomfort isn't serious, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
